Das Café im Bau

In 2020 Maurice Beretitsch and I joined the team of the new café at the campus of State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart. The whole place got built up from scratch and stayed in a construction area vibe for a longer time, so we decided to name it "Das Café im Bau" (The Café under construciton).

For the identity we came up with some found letra sets from our atelier and cut it to peaces and arranged new, constructed glyphs out of it. We screenprinted it in the silkscreen workshop of the university.
The poster got certified by the Tokyo Type Directors Club (TDC) as "Excellent Typography".
